A Mid-Summer Summer Associate's Dream

We recently had our mid-summer review. It is hard to believe the time has gone so fast! We only have a few more weeks now to the end of the summer.

So far I've worked on a wide array of matters, from bankruptcy litigation to international investigations to arbitration to broker-dealer regulation. Recently, I got put on a pro bono First Amendment case, which may go all the way up to the Supreme Court. At the mid-summer point, it is more about managing your outstanding workload, while thinking about what other assignments you'd like to try for professional development. It is certainly trickier at this point because you have to be mindful that you only have a few weeks left!

We've also done a lot of fun summer events, including an outing at the Yankees vs. Mets game, and a cooking dinner where we actually ate the stuff we made (we had all thought the dinner itself would be professionally made as no one could believe our own cooking would turn out to be so good).

I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer.
