WilmerHale has partnered with the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity to expose rising 1Ls to the practice of law through SEO's Corporate Law Program. Graduating seniors participate in a 10-week internship program that occurs from June through August. As a result, participants are included in WilmerHale's summer associate program and gain practical experience by working on substantive legal projects. At the conclusion of the summer program, interns participate in SEO's Corporate Law Institute (CLI) in New York City. The CLI is a two-week lecture series and networking forum led by practicing lawyers and law school professors. The lecture series provides interns with guidance on developing study strategies and exam-taking skills.

WilmerHale has partnered with Law Preview, a pipeline program that helps law firms support and recruit underrepresented law students. Established in 1998, Law Preview has taught thousands of law students what to expect and how to excel in law school. The program involves a week-long, 45-hour, summer prep course that teaches students how to brief cases, prepare course outlines, take law school examinations, and manage their time effectively. Sessions are taught by law school professors and attorney-lecturers in various cities across the country. This year, WilmerHale will offer scholarships to 20 students total at Columbia and UC Berkeley Boalt Hall Law schools.
