Hiring Process

Associates

The Brussels office recruits associates with outstanding academic credentials, qualified in a European jurisdiction, who are eager to work, learn and take responsibility in this dynamic and stimulating environment. An LLM from a top-ranking US, UK or EU program is highly desirable. We also welcome lawyers whose previous experiences at other leading law firms or in government and public service, academia and industry can help us expand our practice strengths. We are fortunate in attracting an intellectually stimulating and diverse group of people with a broad range of work and life experiences. Our lawyers work in a collegial environment that emphasizes teamwork, collaboration and the exchange of ideas in the pursuit of excellence.

Remuneration is highly competitive and associates receive regular feedback on their performance. More junior lawyers are given the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally in an atmosphere that places a premium on diversity, intellectual challenge and excellence in client service, while maintaining a balance that reflects the shared value we place on the human dimension.

When you interview with us, we encourage you to get to know our firm by talking with as many of our colleagues as possible. We believe you will soon realize that our firm represents a unique opportunity for lawyers at any stage of their career.

Stagiaires (Interns)

We seek first-rate interns for three-month to one-year and longer stagiaire positions. These positions are offered to lawyers who have obtained at least a basic law degree and who are in the process of completing the requirements for admission to the bar in their home jurisdiction or who would like to obtain practical experience before attending a graduate program in law. Stagiaires are an important and integral part of the office—they are actively involved in the daily management of cases and are asked to research various legal issues, draft memoranda and other advice to clients, coordinate filings to the European Commission and contribute to the drafting of firm publications.

Referendare

We offer Referendar opportunities to junior German lawyers at the appropriate stage in their academic careers.
