Last week, I wrote about my opportunity to participate in our Firm’s first West Coast mock trial program. I find that, even a week after completing the mock trial, I’m still trying to process all that I learned and the best ways to synthesize that learning into my daily practice as an associate.

On July 29, 2010, I participated in the Firm’s first West Coast mock trial program. Although the Firm has offered this professional development opportunity for many years in the East Coast offices, under the direction of legendary Senior Counsel Jerry Facher, this was the first time the program had come west.

Greetings from Los Angeles, and welcome to my inaugural WilmerHale blog. I am a junior associate here in the LA Office, and my departmental affiliations are split between Litigation and Securities. My hope is that this blog will be enlightening on a few things of interest to new lawyers especially what law practice is like, both inside and outside the office, for those who are starting their careers in a big firm.
