One thing that I think WilmerHale does very well is communicate with the associates about what the firm is doing and how well the firm is doing it.

The fires are still raging in Southern California. While my house isn’t in any immediate danger (and the fires are 60% extinguished), I’ve been amazed at the smoke.

In May 2008, I moved from WilmerHale’s Boston office to join WilmerHale’s new Los Angeles office. I was the third lawyer to join the office and the first associate. Having loved my time in the Boston office, which is fairly large with over 300 lawyers, I was worried about whether I would like a new, small office. As it has turned out, I have really liked being part of a new office.
