Bill Kim

  Bill Kim reports from our Palo Alto office where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Department. Beginning with undergraduate degrees from both the University of Chicago and DePaul University, Bill also holds two masters degrees and a Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular and Biophysical Studies from Columbia University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Before joining the firm in 2002, Bill worked in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Immunology at The Rockefeller University as a Norman and Rosita Winston postdoctoral fellow and a Cancer Research Institute postdoctoral fellow. First off, this blog has no intention of trivializing the tragic destruction of the recent earthquake and tsunami off the coast of American Samoa. But these events have made me think of time zones, about how fast ocean waves can travel, and how much warning time tsunami detectors in the ocean provide.
