Adam Hubbard

  Adam Hubbard is a summer associate in our Palo Alto office. He expects to graduate from Cornell Law School in 2012. Last summer, Adam externed for the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve on the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Illinois. Adam received his M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Waterloo and his undergraduate degree in Physics from Walla Walla University.

Possibly the biggest surprise of the summer associate experience for me is just how quickly the summer has passed by. I have had a lot of different summer jobs/experiences in the past but no summer has gone by quite as quickly as this one.

This past Saturday was my five year wedding anniversary. Despite having just traveled the prior weekend up to my in-laws' place, my wife and I were adamant that we do something special to commemorate the occasion.

Having had a couple weeks to settle into our new lives for the summer, my wife and I decided that it was time to start seeing the Bay Area sights. We had previously seen most of the common San Francisco attractions, so we decided it was time to head on over to Monterey and check out the aquarium.

After a rather hectic weekend trip to Southern California to visit relatives, I returned to work on Monday—for 2 hours. At 11:15 a.m., the other Palo Alto summer associates and I grabbed a cab and headed to the airport.
